1. Information We Collect

Spudbits.com is operated by Spudbits as a personal website at https://spudbits.com. We do not offer user accounts, registration, or on-site contact forms.

Information you provide voluntarily. If you contact us by email at contact@spudbits.com, we receive the information you choose to include in your message (such as your email address and message content).

Information collected automatically. When you visit spudbits.com, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may automatically process technical data necessary to deliver and protect the site—for example, your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and request timestamps.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (such as page views and performance metrics). This service uses a lightweight JavaScript beacon and does not use cookies for measurement. Analytics data is processed by Cloudflare to provide us with usage statistics about spudbits.com. See https://developers.cloudflare.com/web-analytics/ and https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

Labs section (planned advertising). The Labs area is intended for experimental tools and games. We have not yet enabled third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense) in Labs. If we enable advertising in the future, this policy will be updated to describe related data practices before or when ads go live.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to operate, maintain, and secure spudbits.com; respond to inquiries you send us; understand whether the site is functioning correctly (via hosting logs); understand aggregate site usage through Cloudflare Web Analytics; and comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for targeted marketing at this time.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

spudbits.com is primarily a static website. We do not use cookies or local storage to remember preferences such as language or theme. Language versions are provided via separate URLs (for example, /zh-tw/ and /en/).

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies to measure usage on this site.

If we later enable advertising or preference-related technologies in the Labs section, we will update this policy and describe the technologies used, including how you may manage them where applicable.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted service providers to operate the site:

Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security services. Cloudflare may process technical data as described above. See https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-oriented, cookie-free aggregate analytics to help us understand how visitors use spudbits.com. See https://developers.cloudflare.com/web-analytics/.

Google AdSense (not yet enabled) — we plan to use Google AdSense for advertising in the Labs section only. AdSense is not active at this time. When enabled, Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. We will update this policy before or when advertising goes live.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of spudbits.com and its visitors.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information within our control. Cloudflare provides infrastructure-level protections for the hosted site. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. International Data Transfers

Information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards provided by our processors where applicable.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data—for example, to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing.

If you are in Taiwan, you may exercise rights under the Personal Data Protection Act, including requesting to access, review, copy, supplement, correct, or delete your personal data, or to stop collection, processing, or use.

To exercise your rights, contact us at contact@spudbits.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, email contact@spudbits.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
